Fancy a Lamborghini with a difference? This one - up for auction soon - has been blessed by the Pope himself. And we mean a real blessing: not the hashtag variety beloved of Lewis Hamilton. Check out the image above if you don’t believe us. That has to be worth an extra 20bhp at least, right?

It was donated to Pope Francis by Lamborghini last year, with the understanding of the car later being sold for charity. It’s something that’s been done by the Vatican several times before, perhaps most notably with a Ferrari Enzo given to Pope John Paul II.

The proceeds will be split between different causes, the biggest recipient being the city of Nineveh in Iraq - which was heavily damaged during an ISIS occupation. It’ll receive 70 per cent of the cash raised.

The Huracan in question is the rear-wheel drive 580-2 model, tweaked via Lamborghini’s Ad Personam department. It has a Bianco Monocerus finish with Giallo Tiberino contrasting stripes in a nod to the Vatican City flag, while under the 20-inch Giano wheels you’ll find Nero-finished brake calipers. Just so your mates believe you when you claim to have the holiest Lambo in existence, the bonnet has received a signature from Pope Francis.

The car will go under the hammer at RM Sotheby’s Monaco auction on 12 May, along with the Lamborghini Diablo GT we looked at earlier this week. It’s been given an estimate of €250,000 - €350,000
