10 Awesome Cars Added To The Car Throttle Garage In March

It's the end of another month, which means it's again time to gather up the coolest additions to our virtual Garage community

Our list of awesome garage additions begins with the Mk3 Volkswagen Vento (AKA Jetta) owned by CTzen Kuba Vt. These cars are a surprisingly popular alternative to the Honda Civic in the tuning community, and Kuba Vt’s static-stanced Vento is one clean example. We especially love the OZ Futuras and the foldable canvas roof!

From a distance, the Rover SD1 almost looks like a Ferrari Daytona. This is especially true of this clean, red Vitesse owned by CTzen Joseph Lambert. This is truly an internationally-inspired car, with styling cues derived from the Italians and a V8 engine with Buick roots. Although Rovers don’t get a lot of love from the car community these days, we’ll make an exception for the SD1 Vitesse. Especially one in as incredible of condition as Joseph’s!

We’ll give some props to CTzen Topi Finer put into making this garage post, and indeed his E30 325 turbo project car. Make no mistake, Topi’s car doesn’t look this good by accident. After discovering that his BMW suffered from a serious rust problem (remind you of anyone on Car Throttle?), Topi decided to perform a complete rotisserie restoration of his E30. This whole ordeal turned out to be a huge learning experience for Topi, who had very little welding and restoration experience prior to purchasing this 3-Series. Even so, we think he did an amazing job of bringing the BMW back to life!

Who knew that a Kia hatchback could be such a hit among the petrolhead community? Well, the Stinger GT sure changed our preconceived notions about the Korean auto industry. Few cars on the market today have such a great balance between power, luxury and value. And that means that CTzen Matthew Beard has absolutely no shame in saying he drives a Kia. In fact, we’re slightly jealous of him.

CTzen K.E.L. has about as unique of a car as it gets. He’s taken a Russian-built GAZ-21 Volga, converted it from a luxury saloon into a 2-door, and dropped in the M30 straight-six engine and drivetrain from a BMW 528i. This definitely earns a spot on the list of the most unusual cars we’ve ever seen in the Car Throttle community. Admit it, you want it…

Let’s face it, there are a lot of tuned Honda Civics out there. But we think that CTzen TVL_Media’s EP2 is a cut above the rest. This isn’t some low-effort bolt-on job here - a lot of work has gone into this car. The fitment is impressive, and that massive wing actually looks like it belongs there. It’s not just a nice Civic, but a pretty cool car all around!

Care to guess what kind of car CTzen That mustang guy drives? That’s right, he has a Ford Mustang. A 1965 Mustang, to be exact. With a 302 C.I.D. V8, modified brakes and suspension and those macho American Racing wheels, you can tell there’s been some work done to this pony. And we love how That mustang guy left the body untouched - the patina makes this car look badass!

We have one old Mustang on this list, so why not add an example that’s 50 years newer? This one even has a name: Sunshine. The Engine Baes have taken this S550 GT and really made it their own. With bags, wheels and a custom exhaust, they’ve put a modern twist on the old-school spirit of building up a muscle car. It’s amazing to see how much the Mustang has changed in 50 years, and even more amazing to see how the tuning culture has evolved in that time!

Next up is CTzen Joshua Dunt’s 1993 Mazda RX-7 project car! And no, he hasn’t LS-swapped it. But Joshua has certainly done plenty of other work to this rotary-powered beast. We love the rear wing with the rising sun accents, along with the clean matte grey paint job. I’d say it’s definitely a car worth changing the apex seals for.

Last, but absolutely not least, is CTzen johnsky34’s Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Vspec 2. Even by Skyline standards, this is an awesome machine. Johnsky34 has outfitted his Godzilla with a liberal dose of Nismo parts, and claims to have done a quarter-mile in about 12 seconds on cheap street tyres. No wonder these things cost a small fortune right now…
