The Crew 2 was supposed to be out already. Last year, Ubisoft revealed that it would launch on 16 March, only to later say that it was being delayed in order to make sure that the game is fully polished before it gets released. Well, if it means we get a better game out of it, we won’t complain.

Sometimes when a game gets delayed it can drag on for months or even years, but you won’t have to wait long for The Crew 2. It’ll hit the shelves worldwide on 29 June for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The release date may have changed, but the pre-order bonuses haven’t. Pre-orders of the standard game will get the 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 Touring Car and the 2017 Harley-Davidson Iron 883, whilst the ‘Deluxe Edition’ also comes with the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck, 2008 Abarth 500 Monster Truck Edition, Pilatus PC-21 Aerobatics Plane, as well as three unique racing outfits for your player avatar.

Pre-order the ‘Gold Edition’ and you’ll get all of that, the season pass, and access the to the game three days before the launch date. If that’s still not enough, then there’s the ‘Motor Edition’ which is only available from the Ubisoft store and comes with some physical goodies.

The Crew 2 takes the focus from pure street racing and adds in more traditional events on proper race tracks. It’s also adding in races for boats, helicopters, and planes, something that should really set the game apart from its rivals.

I remember being so excited about The Crew. It was what NFS: The Run should’ve been. I get the game and it takes me 18 hours to get it loaded (Xbox hacking that Christmas). Get the game and everytime WiFi was bad, all AI cars stopped and disappeared. Lack of rear view mirrors. Major detail problems in Raid and Circuit trims. Still are many glitches now. I hope TC2 is much better
