YouTube car reviewer Doug DeMuro is at it again, unearthing the quirks in an interesting car. This time it’s the turn of the Maserati Levante, and it’s safe to say he doesn’t like it.

It’s always controversial when a legendary sports car maker turns to SUVs with the aim of selling more cars. Because profits, etc, and to hell with the integrity of heritage. But as Doug points out, these cars are often rather disappointing.

The Levante does have some really weird quirks, though, like a glove box that you can lock via the infotainment system. You can set a PIN to stop anyone getting inside, even if they have the key.

Other weird features are a tailgate release button above the driver’s head, heated seat controls seemingly randomly splashed around the menu screen, and rear doors with master door lock switches. Your kids will love that a bit too much…

While it’s clear that Doug doesn’t much care for the Levante, he does at least seem to enjoy giving it a hard time. Silver lining, there.
