The Ford GT is a fascinating supercar. Yes, some are happy to write it off because it’s dropped a couple of cylinders relative to its predecessor, or perhaps because from the rear it looks like an Angry Birds character, but you can’t deny the technical achievement it represents.

To have been built as a race car first before being converted for road use means it’s had an atypical birth. It features trick suspension that uses pushrod-actuated torsion bars which save weight and space, allowing for those massive air channels. Oh, and much of the car is built by Multimatic in Canada - that’s the company responsible for the trick ‘DSSV’ dampers found on the likes of the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, the Aston Martin One-77 and others.

All of this adds up to a mesmerising driving experience, as related here by Mr. Harris. And yes, he does get it sideways a few times…
