We’ll Have A New Need For Speed Game By The End Of This Year
A new Need for Speed game is in development and will arrive by the end of the year, EA and Ghost Games officially announced in a blog post.
They’re keeping information on the up-coming release close to their chests, but have revealed a few details on the new game before we hear more at EA Play in June.
Of course, the last game in the NFS series was the reboot back in 2015. Both EA and Ghost Games are building on that foundation and have taken into account the fan feedback from it too.
The biggest detail to come from the announcement is the fact that offline mode will return – the constantly-online element of the previous game was a major drawback. Now, there’ll be the option for gamers to play offline and single-player, with the ability to pause the action and not have to put up with being constantly online.
Ghost also emphasised that customisation will “play as strong a role as ever” in the new NFS, while police chases will be a feature too.
The announcement also said players will have the freedom to drive around an open world with “the space in which to do the things you want”, and also hinted at off-road driving.

i do think it is sad that one of the new “features” is daylight.
they should’ve made it a dlc.
I havent finish this last NFS but I dont like the way it drives, in any turn the freacking car drives alone even with the asistance turned off, I prefer the burnout paradise type driving
Bought it recently and was shocked to find that my Civic Type R is better at drifting than my AE86 and E46 M3. They really did something weird with the handling of cars.
I just hope it will be optimized enough for me to be able to run it.
