This 'Unrecoverable' Toyota Supra Lies Half Buried On The Side Of A Hill In Japan

Alexi from Japanese car culture channel noriyaro investigates "the legend of the unrecoverable Supra"

This poor old A70 Supra raises so many questions. How did it get there? Is it really as unrecoverable as they say? Just how many spiders are living in it…?

What is clear is that the stricken Toyota has been at this “undisclosed location” (somewhere in Japan) for some time - we’re thinking a good few years. It’s half buried in leaves and dirt, stripped of whatever valuable parts might have been left after the crash, and is slowly being reclaimed by nature.

We can see a roll cage, so naturally there’s speculation from Alexi that the driver might have been involved in street racing or drifting, which could have something to do with how the car got there.

Whatever the real story behind this Supra is, it’s pretty cool to see it up close, if a little sad.

Apparently the Supra is unrecoverable because over there in Japan they don’t use strong enough trucks that would be able to withstand the force of pulling the car up that hill. Or so I’ve read somewhere.

  1. Japan rarely has an american truck (We Love Kei)
  2. It would be pretty hard too if you had an american truck. This is a touge course. It has pretty much bends and tight places everywhere.
