This Toyota Driver Cut In Front Of The Wrong Car

In this hilarious dashcam footage shot in California, a Toyota Sequoia driver is seen cutting his way in front of a Ford Explorer, before finding out it's an unmarked police vehicle...

While this video is quite amusing to watch, exactly who’s in the wrong is open for debate. The Toyota driver did have his indicator on and there did look to be a gap, which the police officer in the Explorer appeared to close at the last minute. Then again, the officer isn’t obliged to let him merge, so perhaps the Sequoia driver should have just been more patient rather than cut into a rapidly disappearing gap.

What do you think?

Matt Robinson - I go past this point once every two weeks, and this stuff is common behaviour - it’s the I15 by Escondido. It’s also the most Californian of things - a white SUV thinking that because it’s indicating an intention everyone should hit their brakes and re-arrange traffic for them.

This is the road I developed Inside Lane Theory for, and you can see why it works…

Passing on the right is definitely the fastest on the 15s near SD…but come on now, calling making an obvious casual observation developing a theory? Lol. Anyone who’s driven that road more than twice knows the left lane sucks

The cop is being a bi*. Why not just let the car merge like a normal person. Sure he didn’t HAVE to let him in but a normal person would. Maybe it’s just America things idk…

ORR maybe its just because its not a proper Lane change? he forces his car into the lane, showing that he does it more then just once or twice. He also crossed 3 lanes with one indicator. If we want to be to the book correct, then he should tun on the signal, change lanes, turn it off, turn it back on and change lanes again.

But of course I see a lot of people don’t understand how to change lanes so whats the steps again?

  1. look for a safe space
  2. check blind spot
  3. signal.
  4. check blind spot again
    merge safely

he kinda missed 1-2 and 4

Nah F that cop. Toyota wasn’t even being reckless with entry, indicated and was slowly moving in, the cop should’ve let him pass. The hell is he going ticket the man for?

unsafe lane change and possibly road rage. Seems like the cop wasn’t going to pull him over at first, then a few seconds later he does. It’s possible the Toyota driver gave him the finger

Yo rewatching the clip and you can see the cop speeding up and slam on his breaks twice….When the Toyota is already halfway in the lane. The cop is an a**
