Watch A Plucky BMW 135i Give A McLaren 675LT Some Real Hassle On Track
Despite being shown a blue flag, this 675LT driver refused to let a faster driving BMW 135i through
This 135i may have had a bunch of new parts thrown its way - including a Quaife LSD and bits of M3 in the suspension - but it’s still a relatively heavy BMW coupe with half the power of the 666bhp McLaren 675LT.
Regardless, with some committed driving, he’s able to give the 675 up ahead some real bother in the corners (the McLaren is actually shown the blue flag at one point), before helplessly watching it power away on the straights. Eventually, he is let past by supercar.
But don’t be too down on the 675LT driver: taking a hugely expensive, one of 500 car on track - even if that’s its intended stomping ground - takes balls, so we can forgive them for being a little tentative in the corners.

I think that’s bayareanady from instagram the guy is a huge car guy with a great collection and tracks his cars be it his LT, his GT3RS or his P1!
As a track day enthusiast I totally get this guy. It’s really annoying if someone doesn’t let you by and they know you’re behind them. Had a Miata v8 swapped wouldn’t let me by. Got ahead of me on the straight but caught up to him within 3 corners. He even let a corvette pass him. There are such things as car racists.
If I look into the comments and see a comment about fast car vs. fast driver I’m going to eat my hat.

He looked scared on the corners. It was clearly faster than the BMW, he could have taken everyone there. I understand the caution, but then why take it?

I think you guys are making a bigger deak about it than it should be. I know the owner of the 675lt and hes not the best driver. He takes his cars to the track to have fun and to learn his cars better. This bmw is only keeping up with the mclaren because the bmw driver is very good. Also the mclaren driver turned had just spun his car a few laps previously and is trying to regain confidence.to go around corners extremely fast

It looked like the McLaren was on a sunday drive and the guy in the BMW was doing everything He could do to keep up.But hey whatever.
The McLaren did not point him by. He pulled into the pits to apply some Butthurt cream.
