This Heavily Modified Maserati MC12 Has A Heroic 50,000 Miles On The Clock
With just 50 Maserati MC12s ever built, it’s a fair bet that most have spent the 10 or so years since they were built locked up in a garage somewhere. But don’t worry, we have found one that isn’t a garage queen. Far from it.
This one’s up for sale in Canada via Hemmings, and it has, wait for it - 81,000 kilometres on the clock, or 50,000 miles. Crikey.
Not only that, but it’s modified too: the 6.0-litre V12 has been bored and stroked to 6.3 litres, and it’s packing forged pistons, custom camshafts, a plethora of titanium titanium bits and much more besides. It now kicks out a monstrous 840bhp, and revs to 9300rpm.
The more eagled-eyed among you will have spotted that the body isn’t quite standard either. It’s been festooned with carbonfibre aero pieces, while the aggressive widebody setup is made from MC12 Corsa racing car templates.
