Earlier this month, this E46 M3 driver had an unfortunate coming together with some Nurburgring Armco, despite his best efforts to avoid it. At the very least, the impact doesn’t look too severe, but it doesn’t do anything to change our opinion about the risky nature of timing your Nordschleife laps, especially with a big, distracting stopwatch displaying on a phone in the middle of your dashboard…

To think about all the Ring crashes I’ve seen and yet I still wonder why BMW drivers still try…
For those who don’t know why he lost it on what it seems like an easy corner:
There is a bump exactly where he lost it. It’s one of the BIG exclamation marks on the Ring.
Judging by that Optimal Lap Delta on his phone, this dude is pretty hardcore about his performance. So it’s normal for such things to happen when you’re pushing it that hard. Just part of being a racer. Kudos and respect to him.
