This Soap Opera's Endless Crash Scene Is The Most Ridiculous Ever

UK soap Emmerdale put together what's probably the most ridiculous crash scene ever broadcast, playing fast and loose with the laws of physics, the effectiveness of modern brakes, typical driver reaction times...

This week, long-running UK TV show Emmerdale did what all soaps do every now and then to keep things interesting: orchestrate a horrific disaster involving most of the main characters. This time around, the soap’s writers went for the classic car crash pile-up, with the resulting scene being one of the most ridiculous we reckon we’ve ever witnessed.

It ticks all the right boxes: drivers not paying any attention whatsoever? Check! Bad CGI? Check! Hilariously ineffective brakes? A definite check!

Here’s your challenge: watch it and try not to laugh and the seemingly endless carnage…

The first guy’s airbag inflates and then it suddenly disappears. Also is that a one way road? Why does nobody drive the other way?
