Someone's V8 Swapped A Porsche Cayman And It's Brilliantly Sacrilegious

In a move that's likely to make your average Porsche purist explode with indignation, this Cayman has been given a Ford Coyote V8 in place of its stock flat-six

We haven’t been able to find out a huge amount about this build, other than the dyno results obtained by ‘Power By The Hour Performance’, based in Boynton Beach, Florida. It managed an impressive 428hp at the wheels - which will be over 500hp at the crank. In a dinky Cayman, that’s an absurd figure.

It’s worth noting this isn’t the only V8-swapped Cayman out there: do a little digging and you’ll find Caymans with Audi V8s, Caymans with LS engines and even a Cayman with Porsche’s own ‘M28.41’ eight-pot. But a Coyote V8? That’s a new one on us.

Right now though, we just want to see it in action…

looks like the plan to seal off the cockpit, and use the small sidewindows for airflow.

If you think about it, if you have an engine failure in a Porsche you will pay a fraction of price to swap it with something american and V8.
And you will still have the money to use those 5 sets of tires to get to 60 :)

well considering your average Porsche purist doesn’t give a damn about caymans, i’d say you are wrong.
