carbonfibers strenght depends on wich force you apply on it, those driveshafts are designed for rotational force , not vertical. thats why the last piece did alot better
I don’t think anyone is too disappointed, it’s a 100 ton press.
If you want to sound a bit geekier and more technical, use the phrase “Torsional loads” in place of “rotational force”. If you want to sound like a normal person, don’t change it.

Finally the first interesting Hydraulic Press video for me, because i work every day with carbon fiber like winding such tubes. But rotational force is what they really are for. Its all about the angle of the fibers ;)
Sound like Kimi Raikkonen testing parts of his Ferrari…

Good in tension but not in compression but depends really in the application it was designed for surely as it should be able to cope with the untended forces aswell as a bit of outside forces
