This Audi R8 Driver Almost Pulled Off The Greatest Nurburgring Save Of All Time

Upon first viewing, it looks like this Audi R8 driver pulled off a spectacular save during a Nordschleife touristenfahrten session, but listen carefully, and it sounds as though there's contact with a barrier just after the car exits the frame...

Should have accelerated a bit when he hit the tarmac again, rookie kept braking with the car still unstable

I think he still did a good job. First of all he did the right thing and floored it after he went off track where you need balls of steel this close to the wall. And yeah maybe he could have saved it but still he prevented a lot of damage to the car this way. Imagine him hitting the wall instead of getting it back on track. The impact didn’t sound that bad and i think if he would hit the wall earlier with this speed the car would have been totaled.
