Somone Is Already Selling Their New Aston Martin Vulcan

With 800bhp and a full race-inspired chassis setup, the Vulcan is the stuff of dreams for most of us, but that's not stopping one new owner from immediately sending theirs at auction

What would you do if you’d just taken delivery of an Aston Martin Vulcan, one of the rarest and most exciting track-only cars ever made?

If the law in your country allowed you to drive it at all, you’d clearly have ordered some track time and many, many bravery pills.

But maybe, if you’re more interested in money than appreciating the car, you’d immediately send it to auction. That’s what one owner is doing in the US, having listed Vulcan #11 for sale with Mercum Auctions before even getting to grips with it.

At the Monterey sale in August, the car, one of just 24 ever made, could smash its original selling price of $2.3 million (£1.8 million) plus extras. The first one to see the American market was listed for $1.1 million (£855,000) _more _than list.

Vulcan #11’s deep purple paint is a masterpiece, but its 7.0-litre V12 engine must be practically begging a new owner to drive it. After all, its full potential may never have been tapped outside the factory, judging by the all-but new state of the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres.

Complete with 11-stage ABS, Brembo carbon-ceramics, geometry with anti-dive, anti-lift and anti-squat, a full FIA-compliant roll cage, a six-speed sequential gearbox, a rear wingspan Boeing would be proud of and 800 extremely angry ponies channelled through the rear wheels, the Vulcan is about as full-on as it gets. Maybe the owner is just too scared to drive it.

Either way, if you want it you’d better get rich, quick. The sale runs from August 18th to 20th.

The fact that Rockstar had the good sense to mold the Vulcan and Ford GT together makes me the happiest man on earth.

Plus; it means I actually get a chance to own both. :P

Much as this is interesting, it’s disgusting to see someone just sell this masterpiece to make a quick buck. That’s not what it was made for you complete tool
