Racecraft was built by the same studio behind the free-to-play title, Victory: The Age of Racing, but its content is much richer than any previously published work. Here are just a few refreshing features Racecraft has to offer:

  • Endless Track Generator - generate random tracks with real-world looks to put yourself in countless driving scenarios, then save and share with mates
  • Car Crafting - build your car from scratch to meet the needs of a specific track or event
  • You Make The Rules - after creating a unique track, invite others to race under the rules that you decide
  • eSports Challenges and Racing Leagues - a built in league feature allows you to quickly connect with other players and broadcast your events to the world while eSports Challenges offer real world prizes to top competitors
  • Co-op Mode - assume the role of any team member including driver, manager, engineer, mechanic and more
  • Progressive AI - work against 100 levels of progressive AI in Race Mode
  • VR Support - from day one, the game was built with VR functionality in mind and it only gets better from here

Since launch in March, Racecraft has received mostly positive reviews, save for a few unconvinced players who seem to have forgotten that the game is still in development. You may call it a little rough around the edges, but the development team’s commitment to updating regularly with new features and bug fixes makes us trust that the game’s future is in good hands. In the latest June update, Vae Victis added fixes to shadows and dynamic reflections, a handful of minor bug fixes and the new Car Paint Mode in which players can finally craft their own paint scheme.

June also marks the first eSports event, the Thrustmaster Cup, running from 27 June to 4 July. Three Thrustmaster prizes are up for grabs. Just check out the rules here. There is no limit to the number of laps you can run, and only your best lap will be counted for the competition. Good luck CT racers!
