How Much More Power Will A 3-Inch Exhaust Give Compared To 2.5-Inch?

We all know a wider, less restrictive exhaust should give more power, but how much difference does the jump from 2.5 to three inches give? The Engine Masters guys from Motor Trend performed some tests to find out

I have a 3 inch exhaust on my honda with a built 1.8 4cylinder with 12.5:1 compression.
Would the exhaust be to big?

Magnaflow was what they put on my car when I had my exhaust system made and it would short shift instead of redlining. I got them to remove it and replace with JUNBL muffler. Straight away it started to redline. The ECU took a while to rewrite itself but after a week of driving it was like a different vehicle!
I own 5 vehicles that now all use JUNBL mufflers and not only make more HP but all have a unique sound that everyone asks about. Shop around people!

You should ask some women about which has more power, a 3 or a 2.5, sure they’d answer right.
