Am I the only one who prefers the normal steering?

power steering is for people who dont want to feel the road, or for large vehicles. i like my car because it has no P/S and i can feel the road reverberating through the wheel. makes driving so much more involved.

You should probably have an “in my subjective opinion” Disclaimer on that. I have owned a car with no P/s, Hydraulic P/s and Electric P/S (my current MX5 ND) and I am gonna go ahead and say I love the E P/S. However that is in my subjective opinion.

there was a jdm version of the s2000 that had something similar called vgs (variable geometry steering) back in the early 2000’s. it would reduce the rotations to full lock to lock down to 1.4 turns (stock is 2.4).

My mk7 GTI has sport steering and normal steering. I can’t tell the difference isn’t feels as if the normal steering is a bit harder to turn for a traditional feel. It’s Audis system and its not more sensitive it has a different ratio the steering rack switches over too.
