BMW Has Released An Even Cooler Version Of Its Beautiful R nineT

BMW has released a new variant of its ultra successful and uber cool R nineT. Since the retro roadster was released last year, bike builders and custom designers around the world have been producing their own modified versions of the bike, and it’s easy to why. No other machine currently on sale blends old-school looks with modern riding dynamics quite as well as the bike from Munich.

Not wanting to miss out on the customised action, BMW has released its own café racer version of the bike, the R nineT Sport. The machine looks absolutely stunning with a brushed aluminium fuel tank, high mounted Akrapovic titanium sports exhaust and a hand-brushed aluminium rear seat hump.

On a recent trip to Rainbow BMW Rotherham I had a quick look around the bike and I can report that the details are exquisite. The LED indicators are minimalist, the raised silencer allows you to see the beautiful rear wheel and the whole thing ultimately feels like a very high quality item. My only dislike was the clash between the gloss-varnished finish of the tank and the brushed rear seat cowl. Fortunately you can spec the tank to match, and you also get the choice of visible or smooth welding seams - we’d go visible every time.

The bike is available to order from February 6 but some dealers like Rainbow have taken delivery already. The Sport will set you back a whopping £12,990, but that’s a price we’d be happy to pay. I mean, just look at it.
