So…an Aston Martin that doesn’t work in any way…why didn’t he just buy an Alfa for letting things not work
Cuz we can’t get Alfa’s here in the states! Not any newer ones that is.
That bumper to bumper warranty isn’t anything unless he has a set of Nokian Tyres……….which he does!

Doug, my Jag XK8 from the same era has the same style parking brake. Usually when I lend the car I disengage the parking brake and ask people to not use it to save myself a headache explaining how it works.
When my sister asked why it works that way I said to her “a normal parking brake would give you surprise butt sex in this car”.
Hah!
I would do that but since this one is a stick, it’s liable to roll away if I disengage the parking brake before getting out, etc.

Hah. I had similar experience with the handbrake when driving a DB9. Took me a couple minutes to find it. A lot of the same quirks in that car too.
