The driver of this GT500 was attempting to leave a car show in style, when things went horribly wrong. He spins out, hits a Ram truck, and absolutely destroys his car - the airbags failed to deploy, and he was hospitalised as a result of the wreck

I am actually shocked about the safety of that car! If you were in the passenger seat, you would be dead and an airbag wouldn’t help!
Can be fixed…just cut another mustang in half like the herbie and weld. My mechanic does that sometimes.
That took place at the car show that ProDyno hosts here down in South Carolina. I usually go to them, but I couldn’t go to this one because of work. Normally, I sit where the white truck is to get the front video of the burnouts they do.
Having owned that same generation Mustang GT and driven a few GT500’s fairly spiritedly on extended test drives, I can assure you it’s the driver, not the car. Any RWD car with over 400hp is more than capable of getting away from you when you blindly punch the gas with no assists on, the only way to stop that from happening is to decrease the power or increase the self control of the driver.
