Can Top Gear survive in your opinion? Sure there was old TG but since the rehashed version was so powerful do you think the new one will be able to carry on the name?
I think they’ll give it a damn good shot. If anyone can make it work it’s Chris Evans. And I think it’ll be a very different show, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work.
Was the Alabama scene real? I’m inclined to believe that it is but a lot of people have their doubts and i just want to know once and for all.

Most new car reviews are overwhelmingly positive as journalists/publications are terrified of not being invited to the next launch. Was this ever a problem for Top Gear?
I’m not sure that’s true. The decent mags should say when something’s rubbish. It’s the softball bloggers who’ve just got their noses in the trough that are the ones to watch. Everything they drive is mysteriously excellent. We never had much trouble getting cars, even after saying other models in the range were poo. There was one exception. It’s in my book. Boom! Another surprise plug.

Who came up with the Polar special? It’s really interesting how someone got an idea that it may be possible to drive to the north pole.

What went behind the idea of the trip you guys had in Romania and how did you personally like the Transfagarasan Highway? :D
We heard it was the greatest road in the world and we had to find out for ourselves. That was how it came about.
