Jaguar Says Goodbye to Petrol Sports Cars With The V8 F-Type ZP Edition

It’s time to say goodbye to one of motoring’s most special recipes. The Jaguar sports car is dead, long live the F-Type ZP Edition.

Fitting, the British firm has chosen to use the P575 V8 F-Type as a base for this limited-run model, with only 150 set to be sold globally.

Should you be in line for one, you’ll have a pick of two ‘SV Bespoke’ liveries inspired by racing E-Types from the 1960s. Oulton Blue is paired with a Mars Red and Ebony interior, as shown by the convertible in Jag’s images, while the coupe has been picked to showcase Crystal Grey with a Navy Blue and Ebony cabin. You can have either livery on both body styles, though.

All versions of the ZP Edition get badging below the front arches to mark them out as such, 20–inch forged alloy wheels, and white roundels on both doors. Plus, there’s a ‘One of 150’ plaque between the seats, so anyone who hops in the car knows there are only a few of these F-Types on the road.

Performance remains the same as the standard P575. Its 5.0-litre supercharged V8 is good for 567bhp, 516lb ft of torque and a 0-62mph time of 3.7 seconds.

Rawdon Glover, Jaguar’s Managing Director, said: “As Jaguar embarks on the boldest transformation in its history, to become a modern luxury all-electric brand from 2025, this is an unrepeatable celebration of Jaguar’s internal combustion sports car provenance.

“F-Type has captivated sports car drivers for more than a decade, just as the E-type did five decades before it. The ZP Edition is the ultimate celebration of that lineage, joining an illustrious roster of heritage-inspired collector’s editions including the 2015 Project 7 and 2020 Heritage 60 Edition.”

Just 10 of the 150 F-Type ZP Editions will be offered in the UK, and it’s almost certain each has been offered to 10 of Jaguar’s favourite customers.  Pricing for the coupe starts at £134,925 and £138,390 for the convertible - about £30k more than the base P575.
