Continue with FacebookMost of you know Norway has INSANE prices when it comes to fees for cars and emissions and horsepower. But they have now halved the performance fees!
So now I can import a car, pay 25% taxes, and 3x the cars value in fees for emissions and performance. Not 4x as much anymore :D
It is strange, in Sweden they don’t have an oil empire, yet they can sell cars and give some automotive freedom (1000hp supras for example), a Chevy Camaro costs 300k NOK there, and in Norway it is 1200k NOK, now that fee will loose around 300k in value but still its a lot more than i’d like. Not that I can afford it, I just paid 130k NOK for an 2006 Audi A3 2.0 tdi quattro lol, “overpriced” you say, but welcome to Norway.
Chevrolet Tahoe, minimum equipment (currency NOK)
Price in USA: 400.000kr
Price in Norway: 1.500.000kr
Now we can compare Sweden, that seems more reasonable(right?)
2015 Mustang with the V8
Sweden: 300.000kr
Norway: 1.300.000kr
And the list goes on… BMW M5 E60 is 4x compared to USA and so on.
It’s not easy to be a petrolhead here.
