The transmission issues are fixed at last, I’m gonna need to grab some pics of it later but that thing is insane. My dad demonstrated how easy it is to leave some 11s down a stretch of road with an auto transmission. Me and my dad both still agree that we’d rather have manuals though.
On Monday, my dad and I finally got the transmission back for his 1994 GT with the 5.0L (The car is an Automatic) The install was rocky because we don’t have a transmission jack, but we had the car up on jack stands and blocks and got the transmission up, bolted in and everything is where it needs to be. While it was still ok the jack stands, we tested gears and all the gears worked fine. When my dad and I got it on the ground, my dad just moved it around in the garage a little and the gears all worked. We tried to take it for a test drive this evening and it was working fine for about a block until the transmission started slipping. Right now, reverse is working but putting the car in 1st, 2nd, or drive only makes the car barely start crawling forward. Anyone know what might be causing the problem?
