I drive a 2007 Hyundai Sonata GLS (2.4) and recently I started hearing an unnatural raspy, metallic sound from the engine/transmission. The sound isn’t noticeable on some drives, but on others, it is very obvious. The engine/transmission will sound normal until between 2,000-3,000 RPM. So when I accelerate through the rev range, i’ll hear it once I hit 2,000-3,000 RPM. But as soon as the car shifts up to a new gear, the engine sound returns to normal. The engine is naturally quiet, but as soon as it hits the problematic “sweet spot”, the engine note switches from vague and muted to a sort of scream. It’s not just louder. Its a different pitch entirely. Raspy and metallic. Could this be an issue with perhaps the timing belts?

Does anybody know of a place/person in Arizona who will rent a supercar/sportscar to a licensed 17 year old with a clean record? I know it’s a huge stretch, but if you could help me out with any leads, I would REALLY appreciate it. I am looking for a car for a day or two in early June.
Today, after some minor repairs at Infiniti, I learned via a full diagnostic the devastating news that I will no longer be able to afford my beloved g35. This car was my pride and joy and something I worked long and hard for. However, the diagnostic revealed that the car is barreling inevitably towards a pitfall of costly service repairs. Basically, it is a ticking money-pit bomb; one which will cost twice the value of the car. The sadness and devastation is real right now. I was absolutely living the dream with this unbelievable car and it is like a punch in the gut to have it end so suddenly and without warning. The amount of things
I had still planned to do with the car that will now never happen is what strikes me the most. It is hard to comprehend that within a few short days, something I had grown to know, love, and adore will be forever gone from my life. Really going to savor these final few drives in this beautiful beast. Hopefully some of you G/Z guys understand…

I have a 2005 Infiniti g35, and recently, it over heated. The problem has since been fixed, but I want to know how much damage could have been caused to the engine? It was in the “Hot” section of the heat gauge for anywhere between 3 minutes to 30 seconds. No steam, or smoke.
