I am about to start karting. When i was about 8 yo i started driving karts in an indoor track. Some guys that saw me driving told my father i was talented. And i found driving karts easy and fun. The last year i drove there i was always the fastest with the kids’ car. I remember i also broke the track record time, but it was unofficial because the track profile of course changes pretty often (they tilt covers and so). I also remember being faster than the ones having own cars(note, i didnt ever have my own car)

Bit later i tested some outdoor karting with more powerful karts. I got some decent time, but the times were uncompareable because the others had own cars which were faster. At that time i started to talk about buying an own car with my father. I thought that i dont want my family to spend all their money just for me, so i started to maybe lose a bit my interest on karting. I didnt drive so much on that time and i was about 10 or 11 yo. I had also also other sport, tennis, which i found more fun. So i had driven for about 2 years.

Now, at 14 years i have started to be bit sad about the choice of retirement of karting, and i am wondering if i could make a comeback. I believe i would find pretty easily the right “touch” for some good racing and fast laps etc. Im sure i would be able to compete in national races.

Now i want to ask you guys, should i start karting again, and how should i start it? Should i start at the same indoor club as i started 6 years ago? And what would i possibly be able to do at racing? My dream is i would someday have a racing job or something to do with motorsport. I could buy next year a moped but i am propably not going do that because it would cost extra money.

Do i have chances to earn money as a racer in the future? I thank you all who read and answer to this, it is important.
