Bio

I'm a technician in training. I make corollas go faster than they're supposed to. There something about gross RWD economy cars from the 80s and going fast that I cannot get past.

E36 wing

What’s the best lip spoiler you guys have seen for an e36? It’s definitely something I’m looking into.

Slow to Woah

Almost got chopped by a convertible Mimi tonight. I need a turbo or an engine swap. What are your thoughts on the two?

Sticky Tires!

What’s a good brand of tire that isn’t too insane (price/tread) but will add nicely to my bimmers handling?

Maxpeeding coilovers. Quality in a budget?

As a young guy with a tight budget, it can be hard to find quality without spending a decent amount. I was desperately in need of suspension due to the front dampers giving out and the rears beginning to leak. I jumped online and searched all I could. At first to looked like it was either 350 dollar racelands or the top spec tace coils. Eventually i cane across the MaxpeedingRods coils.

I couldn’t find any very useful information on them so here is my experience.

Upon arrival (2 days earlier than estimated), I was surprised with how well the suspension was packaged. The only draw back being the foam which managed to get all over my room. Then began the install. As a first for me the suspension was surprisingly easy. The Maxpeeding suspension fitted perfectly with no need for modification on either the car or the product.

The damper adjustment is noticable and definately useful for dialing in the ride and handeling. The only draw back of this suspension so far is the right front currently knocks and clunks while turning at low speed. After some research i found out this was likely because I either moved the suspension incorrectly when adjusting height or the bottom stopper is binding to the threads below. Overall I am impressed with the quality of the product.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

The E36 is sitting nicely after the install today. Overall, good first impressions on the coilovers.

The coilovers have arrived, nothing special but they're fully adjustable. Tomorrow is the day of install and I couldn't be more excited.

Coilovers. FINALLY!

My front shocks gave up on me last weekend. After a quick search online I found myself a nice set of coilovers for all four corners. I’ll keep you all posted once they arrive and I install them.

I whipped.my phone out for this. We were driving some dirt roads for some mad skids. We walked a new road to make sure we could make it in low cars. Out of nowhere we came across this car, flipped and clearly burned. It was recent, fluid was still leaking

There is nothing more satisfying than an exhaust that crackles more and more as you drive. #nocat

I booked in a shop to make me a custom cat back for my 318is. Only now have I descovered that the previous owner gutted the catalytic converter. Should I just get the shop to delete the cat entirely? (it currently sounds terrible).
