after market air intake???? whats yalls thoughts. more hp?

if i cut off my muffler will my engine heat up more

would cuttin my muffler off make my engine run more hot?
01 4.3 chevy 1500

So i have a 2001 silverado, single cab 4.3. Once i turn off the truck the radio stays on. I have to take off the radio face to keep it off and also while its off my break lights will light up if i press the breaks. its probably something to do with wires but lemme read what yall think/ know
