I can now officially drive. I have inherited the family explorer and plan to drive it to the ground. Oh, I can kinda draw.

I haven’t been on CT for a while and I come back and GG is gone. Why did they remove it? Was it because someone got offended? I just want to know.
I have recently dreamt up some ideas for a drift truck. I don’t plan on doing this anytime soon, but I do want to get around to it. Anyways, I was thinking like a ford ranger or maybe even an 80s Mazda like they used in Roadkill. It would be in a jdm style, so I’m thinking more towards the mazda. But how cool would it be to roll up to a drift event, alongside r32s and 240s with enormous kits and wings, in a drift truck. Of course it would be a drift missile, because beat up and rugged is definitely the way to go for a truck. But what are your thoughts on this? Is it a horrible idea, or could it be insanely cool? Let me know.
Here’s the catch. I want a picture of a huge engine from above. Its picky, but I think it would be awesome. I’ve had every car you can think of as my background so I want something different.
So in Honors World Literature today, our teacher assigned an essay. This particular essay requires us to research one of Time Magazines Person of the Year and write out reasons as to why they should become Times Person of the Century.
She gave us a list that was divided up into different categories such as Leaders and Revolutionaries, Builders and Titans, Scientists, and Heroes. The first person I see under the Builders list is Henry Ford.
By now, everyone’s taken a good long look at the list, and some people are chatting about the options.
I braced myself for the inevitable. I knew the class was 80% girls, and the guys were more interested in ESPN than JDM, so I knew it was coming.
“Who’s Henry Ford?”
Who IS Henry Ford?
“Isn’t he the one who invented the car?”
Why yes, and he also invented the microwave, and the airplane. In fact, he is the same person who invented fire and water. Betcha didn’t know that one.
I could’ve released a whole slew of facts and knowledge their way, but I decided to just take a deep breath and let it go. It isn’t worth it to become a snob in front of people I don’t know. As much as I wanted to, I did not correct them.
What are your worst experiences with stupid car questions? Let me know in the comments.
