Today is the last day my dad’s 1992 Volkswagen Jetta will be powered by this AAZ. It’s a 1.9l IDI turbo Diesel from a 1993 Golf. It’s finally getting pulled for his Porsche 914. Don’t worry though, we’re going to put something newer, stronger, and eventually more powerful into the Jetta. Any guesses what it is?
I’ve been doing a lot of reading about suspension setups lately, and I’ve heard people mention 205/40R16s and 205/45R16s. 205/40s have a smaller diameter than 185/65R14s. I haven’t been able to find good pictures though, and I was wondering if anyone has pictures for reference.
I raced in my first autocross today. I highly recommend it to everyone if you get the chance. It’s a great way to get a feel for your car and learn to improve your car control. It doesn’t matter if your car is slow, fast, or somewhere in between. I was driving a 1974 Porsche 914 with about 68hp. It was my first time driving the car and the transmission is really weird in it. By the end of the day I was comfortable with the shifter and I was really pushing the car successfully. If you are a new driver or want to improve your skills, try autocross. I guarantee you will enjoy it.
