So its fairly safe to say most people here hate ricers, but im starting to think alot of us dont even really know what riced is. As i could ask for peoples opinions on what is rice and get hundreds of different answers
i see alot of people here call a rice mod something that isnt functional like a over the top big wing. So if a mod that has no function at all is rice things like bigger wheels, tinted tail lights, custom gearstick knobs or custom exhaust tips are all ricer mods because they serve no function execpt to looks, yet i believe many people that hate ricers would have do atleast one of thoses things to a car. which leads me on to the next point.
If you determine rice on looks thats entirely your opinion no need to go hating people because of it… its their car they paid for it and that wanted their car to look like that. Looks is a personal opinion, if you like twin exhaust tips or big wheels or tinted tail lights it is entirely your opinion and you cant fault a car because it isnt your style because its not your car so it doesnt have to be your style.
So most people here would happily say that people who modify cars do it as a representation of themselfs or to be unique.
so after reading that i have a few questions for you all
Can you give me a solid definition of a riced car or a riced mod?
in a community where we should respect each others cars and builds do we still call out people we dont know as ricers
And lastly why when we build our cars to represent our ideas do we even care what others think?
I have a toyota surf with a 2.4 turbo diesel, its throwing a timing control valve fault code, now i have checked that the timing control valve works and that there is no air getting drawn into the system. The light only comes on at operating temp and idle it goes out if its revved up. Anyone had similar issues? Or have any ideas?
