It’s been a while hasn’t it?
Poderra has been a thing for a few years now, the team has been on and off, people have come and people have gone. The core team remains the same, and after finishing the design of the Poderra ExS, we’re now looking to do something quite different.
Here’s the deal, our two main guys, Fredrik and Andrew, are working on a new design, however it’ll take us way too long to get the car on cad. We still want to work the bulk of the car, and keeping to our respective interests in the design of the car (chassis and suspension for fredrik, design and aero for Andrew, powertrain’s a weird mix of the two, and the smaller subsystems within the car as well), however we wish to have some likeminded individuals who’d be willing to volunteer their time in providing modeling help on components that would otherwise be extraneous work for us and just prolong the design of the car.
What we are looking for:
- Someone familiar with autodesk products, specifically Autodesk Inventor. We use fusion360, but we prefer you to be proficient in Inventor first.
- Willing to take the work we assign
- have a similar innovative mindset as the rest of our group members
- able to have constant internet access to communicate with the team. Remember, we are an international group of car and engineering students and enthusiasts. We exists digitally to speak.
- IMPORTANT:
- none of us here are doing this for money, nor expect to make money off our designs soon. We can dream and speculate, but the reality is we are engineering students. One of us in University, the other in high school. We do this because it’s what we love to do. We give up our time however we can to put in some from of effort towards the designing of our cars. If we build the vehicle, the money will be coming out of one of the group member’s pockets. That’s nearly $20-30,000 on a “hobby gone life consuming addiction”. We hope you can accept this. We, and you, will be doing this under a voluntary basis. There is no “cash reward” at the present.
- you must know 3d CAD and have knowledge on the design of automobiles. We aren’t asking for someone with an masters engineering degree. Helpful if you have one, but not exactky needed. We also need someone who has the ability to model. If you’re familiar with 3d cad programs for engineering use (solidworks, INVENTOR, and fusion360, not blender, 3d max, and alias), good, but be able to Adapt to using Inventor and occasionally fusion360, and have the ability to access these programs at home. Having inventor at school is great and all, but entirely useless to us.
If you’re interested to join a small team of engineering obsessives and car lovers, AND MEET THE REQUIREMENTS, do speak up and let us know. Provide an example of your skill, and if we are interested in what you have, we will contact you via email to further discuss your entree.
Thank you for the support over the last two years, and our apology for going silent for so long.
