I am your average 22 year old guy. I am unsure of my future, not quite ready to accept that I have grown up, and a bit scared of the real world. but as long as I have her love and a car, i'm great .

On October 11, 2016, I was involved in a motorcycle accident. A young driver pulled out in front of me. Luckily I missed hitting her car (otherwise I would not be typing this), however my back tire hit gravel as I was braking and locked up. I lost control of my bike and was highsided at approximately 35mph, and flew about 15ft and slid for another 20ft. My safety gear did its job and saved me from any serious injury save for a few minor abrasions on my back and a few lacerations to my right hand. My bike didn’t fare so well and is now sitting in my garage, totaled, waiting for my insurance company to take her away. What we do is fun on another level, but please be safe and smart. Wear your gear, it really does save lives. From a bitter end comes a sweet new beginning and I have gotten a new bike and I have learned from my mistakes and am now more aware of what the risks are every time I swing my leg over that seat, turn the ignition on, and take off. Each ride could be my last, each time I set off on a new adventure I know that I may come home in a casket. This is my love, my passion, and I know it may take me away one day.
I am getting a 2016 390 duke. Super stoked. I heard these little hooligans are a riot on wheels .
Tension between races has skyrocketed in North Carolina. Especially near my hometown, Mocksville. In our state’s largest city, Charlotte, which is just half an hour’s drive from me, riots have broken out. For the first time in a long while I feel scared in my own home. People have gone to a primal state, people scream equality and justice, yet use violence and ignorance to achieve the goal. Hate and anger breeds only hate and anger. I wish every one was a car guy, petrol head, grease monkey. Whatever nickname you choose we are all one family on here and we all look out for each other. We come from all walks of life and from all corners of the globe, we differ in so many ways. Yet by some miracle we all share the same love, same passion. We all love cars. A (not so) simple machine that a little over 100 years ago did not exist to the mass public. A tool seen by many as just that; a tool. Here we stand with our differences, yet we all come together to share our love. Not just in cars but in a multitude of things and hobbies. I am truly lucky to be a member of this community. A family where we can all be different and still respect and love one another. I wish the rest of the world could be like us.
