Why is it that cars that accelerate like a bat out of hell are the most fun to drive?? and the most likely to get you pulled over when you try to really use the cars power to any extent?
Why can’t I scroll down to edit lengthy posts? All that appears is the first few lines of text, then the rest disappears. It’s infuriating. Sometimes I make a mistake when writing and need to correct it.
For car guys like us, owning a Tesla seems like committing treason against everything we stand for. But I want to know your opinion. Would you own one? I wouldn’t. Heres why
the price
Even for the most basic model 3, you are looking at shelling out 35k. That’s pretty hard to justify for the average consumer.
Driving feel
A Tesla does not have the same sensation as a car powered by controlled explosions. As car guys, we believe that cars are almost living things. They breathe in air, eat fuel, and produce a lovely engine note and take you wherever you want to go, with no hesitation, and no backtalk. Yes, a Tesla may have instant torque, but what good is that when you can’t hear it?! What good is torque when you don’t hear an engine build revs?!
Styling
I know I am going to get some hate in the comments for this, but I honestly don’t like the way a Tesla looks. It screams “ IM RICH BUT DON”T KNOW HOW TO SPEND MY MONEY WISELY.” Honestly, you could get a Porsche 918, or McLaren P1, both with insane powerplants and an engine note so good, it sounds like Beethoven’s Ode to Joy!
