91 B16A ef9 14 FA20 FRS 08 Honda Ruckus “the Hood Rat” I live to wrench on my cars.
1st July 2016
So in my previous repair I had to remove the knock sensor to get to some parts. Now the car is throwing cel code 23 after driving for a little bit. Does a loose knock sensor cause code 23? I couldn’t get a torque wrench in the tight space and just tighten it as much as I can. Clean out the connector and it’s still throwing code. Taking out the IM again is not very fun if I’m going to do it again I want to make sure it’s the last time for awhile. Where do I source a new obd0 b series knock sensor or where do I source a chipped ecu that will bypass the god damn sensor?
I believe I have a seepage from a loose oem boot clamp. There is no tear on the boot yet grease keeps coming out. Since I can really tighten the oem clamps, I read somewhere that people use hose clamp as replacement.
Has any body done the same? Does it mess with the balance as there is a big lump where it screws tight.
It’s a fwd car if it makes any difference
