Mr. Odd-ish

You know what pisses me off? I mean really eats at me? People who degrade you and put you down based on what you enjoy. I had this very thing happen to me today, and I am willing to lose a good friend over it. I like to consider myself an oddity car collector, someone who collects cars that either failed as a brand, or style, or are unattractive, or have odd engine setups, etc. Well, I am looking at purchasing another of these lovely oddities and I like to talk to my coworkers about them, and sometimes teach them a thing or two, and I began speaking with a guy I consider a close friend, a coworker and drinking buddy, about this vehicle, and was immediately met with a hostile rebuttal about how it was stupid of me to spend my money on something so useless and that I was an idiot for doing so. It sparked me off, and I just had to put it out to anyone dealing with the same problem, don’t let people tell you how to live your life. Enjoy yourself. I’m not saying let your family starve or lose your job over your hobby. But don’t be afraid to live a little. Alright that’s it. Rant over.

Tl;Dr don’t let people degrade you for what you enjoy. Live life the way you wanna live it.
