My dad owns a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 Ext Cab, and it has the 6’6” box on it. When he bought it, he realized that the box wasn’t quite rusty yet, but bubbling. Him being a mechanic figured that we could easily have it repainted or something. So we had a company cut the bubbling part out and weld a new piece on, then paint match it. (Amongst other things) Now, this truck has had that done twice. My dad is sick of it, and can’t find a cheap, decent box. So now, he has resorted to getting the ugliest freaking fender flares and wants to stick them on there to cover up the rust. Now, the truck is extremely street looking, staggered (2” lift in front, 3” in back)(not done yet will happen soon) smoked out lights all around, grille inserts, and what not. I think the flares will look like garbage, so what other options do we have?
