Im 18 and i love cars :D i currently own a 2005 Renault Megane II 1.5 diesel (yea i know... but economy :P)
20th May 2015
I just bought a 99’ 106 1.0i.
Is there anything that can be done for cheap to make it go slightly faster?
I plan to change the engine to a 1.6 but that isnt happening for a while, as i am going to daily the peugeot for the next half of the year.
I was thinking air restrictor delete, and cat delete. Anything else to make this car more snappy?
Well, yesterday my car kinda broke down.. I was cruising just fine and everything was alright then all of the sudden weird noises came out of the engine bay. The sound comes on when i step on the throttle, so as far as im driving with close to none gas its alright, as soon as i give it more than 10% throttle, the grinding noises start getting worse if i increase the throttle . Its also worth noting that when the car is stationary and you apply clutch and throttle everything is alright, it sounds normal like everything is fine. But doing that while moving will end in a cringeworhty exprience of hell grinding. When i popped the hood and took off the plastic cover there were some fresh spots of oil on it. Also when it starts grinding the shifter is shaking vigorusly, jerking in its place.
Does anyone of you mechanical gods know what this problem is? Will it set me back a fortune or is it just a seal or something cheap?
Appreciate the help
