Has anybody here tried putting a G4JS head on a SOHC 16v 4G63 from a Galant?
Piston to valve clearance issues?
90-95 Civic or 97-03 Galant?
Which is a better base?
Civic would be a 1.5 90hp non-Vtec D15B2
Galant - 2.0 or 2.4 - 4G63 and 4G64(SOHC)
Could get a G4JS head for 80 euro(it’s a copy of the Evo head, with a 56cc combistion chamber) and a evo exhaust manifold for another 80 euro.
Here parts for Civics are equal to E46 parts in terms of price, so the “Civic parts are cheaper” argument is out the window.
Does anybody know the length of the 5-cylinder whiteblock (preferably in metric)?
Crankshaft length would also do the job.
Trying to figure out if it will fit in a 62/67cm(with/-out rad) long engine bay.

I know about that one thread that says it’s 23/25/27(head/crank/head+distributor)inches, but it seems a bit much.
23 is fine, 25 is a bit too long and 27 is “too big” for where I want to try to fit one. (for some reason the engine bay is shorter than the bonnet)
