So as you all know there has been a change for the test in the UK just to name a few changes, you don’t get reverse round a corner, you don’t get 3 point turn in your test anymore
What is there instead is well I think rather stupid, you can still be asked to do a parallel park/bay park witch is fine however instead of the 3 point turn and corner reverse they now ask you to pull away from the wrong side of the road witch is A dangerous and B highly unlikely to happen and C braking the very first rule of the road (in UK) And one of the most pointless things is that you still need to learn the manoeuvres even though you WONT get them on test, now I think you should get them in test if that is the case if you go through all the trouble and time and effort of learning them in the first place.
My thoughts on the matter in one word stupid. What is the whole point of learning, it’s that in the end you put that to the test am I right, so why are the old manoeuvres not required in a driving test anymore, yet the stupid one is the (pull away from the wrong side of the road)
This wrong side of the road malarkey makes me angry why, because what is the first rule of the road “ALWAYS KEEP TO THE LEFT” so it is completely pointless, dangerous and highly unlikely you will ever have to do this and yet it is somehow more important than a 3 point turn or left reverse. It’s bloody stupid, and feel sorry for the people doing it at the moment.
Lastly, because of this pretty much all the driving instructors and test observers have gone on strike, WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE OLD TEST, I’ll tell you ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
rant over. Let me know your thoughts on the matter in the comments.
