Okay it sounds ridiculous right? Well now I have a little Daihatsu kei, which is fun to drive but very rough, slow and small. It was bought by my grandfather in the 80’s. Yesterday the engine died, probably the timing belt snapped and the valves were destroyed.. not sure yet. The repair, if possible, would cost twice the prize this car worth (I already spent like 1200 pounds on it. I really don’t want it to go to a scrapyard but noone would buy it, exept for parts.
On the other hand, the Daihatsu Applause, a very reliable, powerful and spacious car would cost around 1000 gbp. I like how it looks and it would be perfect for my needs. If I wanted to I could get the money for it (I need a car in my everyday life, so I have to choose soon (I use my father’s car now but when he quits work he’ll need it).
What do you guys think? Should I spend like half of the prize of the Applause on the Cuore kei, or should I find someone who buys the Cuore like that and buy an Applause?
You just have to have a road with no traffic and someone to signal you, when a car is coming. The police won’t bother you as long as you do it that way. They call it “trainig countersteer for icy roads”
