So I’ve been looking at cars for a few weeks now and these are my options…
First off the VW Scirocco (2008-2010 models), manual with a 1.4FSI and 160hp…
Second option would be BMW, been looking at some E46 316Ci Cabrios with a hardtop but heard bad things about the reliability…
Another BMW option would be an E87 116i… It’s a 5 door hatch and ofcourse I’d have a manual… Again I’ve heard bad things about them when it comes to reliability…
And my 3rd/4th BMW option would be an E90/E92, 316i and 320i respectively… Again… That reliability (I’m welcome to getting educated about the reliability on these models) And after all the reliability I’ve heard they are dull to drive aswell and that’s a big no…
That’s pretty much it… I have looked at and considered NB and NC Miatas but I’m a little hesitant about getting a 2 seater and I would need a hardtop because it would be my daily and needs to survive winter… Another thing about them is rust… Also having a hardtop NB would kill the convertible aspect of it since I couldn’t take it off with ease and out it back on…
Anyway I’m still open to more suggestions, looking for a fun manual daily (doesn’t have to be too practical) with a budget of 6000€… I could go a little higher if I really like the car.
Cheers!
Still looking for a new car, I’d prefer an inline 4 or an inline 6, manual and petrol engined… Everything else is debatable… Just give me ideas as I have too many
So I’ve been driving for a year now with my base Golf 4 with a 1.4 16v 55kw (or 77hp if you’re a decent human being), now I’ve been think a lot about a new car but I’m not sure what to get, I want it to be fun to drive (power isn’t everything, I found my Golf to be plenty of fun), definitely a manual and preferably a petrol engine, drivetrain isn’t that important but I’d prefer FWD or RWD, budget wise I wouldn’t want to pay more than 5000€ for it…. I also want it to be reliable and not very rust prone (fuel economy is also a thing), been looking at BMW 1 series and had a Mazda 3 go by but I’m not 100% sure… Also I live in eastern Europe so second hand 2000€ Mustangs are not an option, anyway give me your opinions about what would you get :)
Today I saw a wealthy looking grey haired middle-aged man drive a yellow Honda CRX Del Sol. He also gave it some throttle and I could hear the sound of that beautiful 4 cylinder. It just made my day, not only because I love Hondas, but I didn’t expect to see a person like that in there…
