I was wondering…since we’re all together loving the same thing, cars and working on them…if there are people who make their own car parts or have great tricks and tips they want to share…
I’ve split up with my ex a few gears ago which costed me a lot of money but I wanted to keep my aging Astra running so I started to fix thing myself. Since there are custom parts involved I found that some parts simply are not available or difficult and expensive to some by…so making them myself was sometimes the only option. A friend of my helped me with replacing my exhaust, it involved grinding of the flange of a brand new middle muffler to change it for one that fits on my custom end muffler…and I recently started milling my own brake pistons from aluminium (Weight reduction, bro), on a novice level I most admitt and I dry small parts i’ve just spraypainted in my normal domestic oven.
What are your secrets you want to share with me/us?
