Everybody just removes all anti-emissions equipment when tuning their diesels, right?
Personally i don’t find those black clouds all that cool.
I thought of taking a Golf 2 GTD (1.6 TD 80HP) and tune it to 160HP. But doing so, i’d want to install a dry high flow DPF, an EGR retrofitting kit and a high flow catalyser.
I’m choosing high flow stuff because nothing can be worse than stock.
Then do an MOT and blow everybody’s minds with almost EURO 6 emissions on a 1.6 tuned TD from 30 years ago.
The 1.6 TD is quite interesting. Even has a 6000 RPM limit.
I just wanna know how much power would an EGR and high flow dry DPF eat. Modern catalyser just don’t drain any power even if retrofitted on older cars that don’t have one at all, according to dyno tests on youtube.
I mean, y’all already know i’m not getting a Golf 2 GTD. But i’m just curious to hear your opinions on this.
I call dibs on the idea if it hasn’t been done before. 😂
After i will finally get my driver licence, i’ll automaticaly receive a licence for 50cc bikes too, which made me a bit curious about how those are.
Those are meant for young drivers, so they are limited to 60km/h and stuff.
But i’ve read on Wikipedia that the TZR50 and the other 50cc bikes are actually just limited through software and can go up to 120-140km/h. It seemed pretty weird to see a bike limited to 6300RPM and now i see why.
I looked up the bigger brother of the TZR50, the TZR125 and the engines look pretty much the same.
The TZR125 revs up to 10500RPM and has 26HP.
That would mean the TZR50 should have, after unlocking the rev range, around 10HP. Which is more like a regular power figure for a bike. Around that 200HP/L mark.
Anyway, somebody on YouTube put a VZ21 Turbo on a 200cc bike and made 10psi with it.
I wonder if you were to put it on the VZR125, you’d make at least 7psi. The turbo was made to run well with 150cc bikes.
125cc isn’t that far.
But my real question is that if you were to get the 115cc big bore kit for thw TZR50, how much psi would it make. 5psi should be good for around 30HP.
Also with an EFI kit, of course.
Obviously, i’m not going to buy one. For that price i could buy a car and that’s way more useful, imo. Not even considering the price of the mods.
Neither i want to drive a motorcycle that much.
I’d rather get something electric, like a Twizy, instead.
It’s a tiny bit more practical.
I just like making semi-realistic builds in my head. Semi-realistic because i’m choosing the ideal outcome, where the tune goes perfectly and everything matches up to the theoretical calculations. 😂
Engines are engines, and engines are fun.
In 1st you have the big gear making the small gear turn, because the wheels are those who move the engine.
But in 5th you have a tiny gear connected to the wheels and a big gear connected to the engine.
I just don’t get it.
They literally own the Evo Magazine and AutoExpress. I doubt they are strughling with money.
Like, i dunno what’s going on behind the curtains.
