1993 Subaru Impreza L Wagon GF4 (GF8)
AWD car, 60% front wheel drive, 40% rear wheel drive
1.8 L Boxer engine mated to a 5 speed automatic. 110hp at the crank when it was new. 0-60 in 12.3 seconds.
My dad has owned this car since it was brand new car (bought in 1992). It’s taken my family and I to many national parks and has transported me since I was in a baby seat. My dad gave me this car I entered college, and he bought an XV. Although I mainly drive this Impreza and my dad drives his XV, my dad and I officially own both the Impreza and the XV under our title. It has done 201740 miles as of this post. (update 03/31/2017 208000 miles)
So far, I took out the muffler and stripped the car behind the driver’s seat.
Hopefully I can/will do a STi swap one day. My goal is to one day create an r-STi swagon and feature in on The Smoking Tire and/or other YouTube channels one day. If I STi swap it, I’m still deciding if I should make it street or rally performance, and if I should make it all out racecar (strip interior, bucket seats, harness) or should I restore the old worn interior and make it a comfortable car. I’m still decided what suspension to modify the car with since an STi swap would take care of all the drivetrain mods.
Note:
G= first generation of Impreza
C= Impreza sedan
M= Impreza coupe
F= Impreza Wagon
8= turbo 2.5L boxer
6= N/A 2.5L boxer
Therefore, my car is probably a GF2 or GF4 or something like that lol.
P.S (I’ll get some more professional looking photos soon)
PPS: The car in the background is my friend’s 2002 Chevy Impala which is actually featured on The Smoking Tire https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYvHOnXBCKg
