I want to buy a 525d e60 but someone says to me that 530d has a better fuel economy than 525d is it true?

The 525D has marginally better fuel economy. However, the 530D has much better performance.

Up to you, of course. I’d rather go for the HO version of the same engine, but that’s just me.

I would get a 530d a 525d is a detuned 530d and has a lot less power. Not sure on economy. As with buying any BMW diesel, make sure that it gets a dpf removal, egr delete, and swirl flap removal. These tend to fail on higher millage models and could lead to and engine rebuild! Maybe a cheeky tune too…

Thinking of getting an e c class 270 w 211 i think a 12 year old mercedes would be more reliable than a 12 year old bmw + it couldnt cause a hole in my pocket i think
