1990 Volkswagen Rabbit Cabriolet Wolfsburg Edition

Here is a little back story on the Cabriolet. Born in 1979, and remodeled in 1994, the Cabriolet was a classic convertible modeled after the Rabbit. Instead of using the entire Rabbit platform, Volkswagen summoned Karmann to remodel the body design to change the Rabbit from a hatchback to a soft top convertible. This 1990 Cabriolet is the Wolfsburg edition which features front power windows and cruise control which is not too shabby if you ask me. I named this car Karmann after the Karmann manufacturer, which I thought was appropriate. She has 68k miles and change on her original odometer, and was kept in immaculate condition. Bought her for an amazing price of $5k USD with no mechanical problems to date, knock on wood and no body rot or rust. This paint happens to be the original coat and was not repainted. I am very excited with this car and look forward to having her for a long time. Unfortunately, In America, you can’t have it all. This car has a 3 speed automatic transmission which is very fluid, but saddens me since I would really have enjoyed a proper manual gearbox in such a fun car.
