Would You Rather: Own An Appreciating Cayman GT4, Or A Depreciating Aventador?

If you were given the choice between an appreciating GT4 (itself an incredibly fast and accomplished sports car) or a Lamborghini Aventador supercar that will lose you money, which is it to be?

Definitely the Aventador. The GT4 is a fantastic car but…….lambo is love lambo is life.

Cayman Gt4. No doubt. Its a proper drivers car. It has more usable power which can be pushed to the limit. Handling is amazing. I like the way it sounds. German Engineering ftw. Plus it will appreciate in value. By no means I’m saying that the aventador is bad… It is one of my favorite cars. But if given a chance I’ll have the GT4.

Even without considering the value, I would go for the GT4.

I drive a car for the experience, and a Lambo is an experience, both in driving and owning one. I don’t buy a car thinking of “how much will I be able to sell it for”.

I think I would go for the Cayman even if the appreciating-depreciating question would be flipped.

Thank you. I feel like so many people buy supercars or high end sports cars based on how much money they will make/lose when they sell it. F%*k that… just buy the one you like the most and enjoy it. Invest in property or something if you want to make money… cars like that are meant to be driven, not worry about weather you’re putting too much mileage on it to be able to sell it for a decent amount. People said I was mad for selling an M3 after only 3 months because I lost so much money on it, but I just think so what I had fun with it for those 3 months and sold it to buy a car I wanted even more. If its not going to bankrupt you then do what you want (and if it is going to bankrupt you, don’t buy an expensive car in the first place)

See the thing about your comment is, if you can own a aventador you can afford more than one car. You will be thinking about that at some point because you know how to make money and a gt4 would be an investment!
